FOOD LICENSE
A food business operator license is required for all Food Business Operators in the country. The rules for FSSAI Registration for Food Businesses are laid out in the FSSAI Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses Regulation, 2011. As per the FSSAI Food Business Regulation Act, only petty food manufacturers are allowed to start a food business without FSSAI registration.

Form A For basic FSSAI Registration – Form A is basic fssai registration form fillup by the food business operator. Its Comprises of an FBOs Business activities.
Form B for State FSSAI Registration – Form B is required for the State Food License Registration. It’s a mandatory form with the required above documents for the state license registration.

FSSAI license can be renewed 30 days before the expiry of the original license. You need to provide your current license number to the Legal Raasta team. We will re-file Form A and form B for renewal of the application/license. It typically takes 30-40 for the renewal of the license. The government fee is the same for renewal as for the new license issue.
Yes, all catering establishments, even those under central Government such as Railways, Airport, Seaport, and Defense, etc. will have to get a license from FSSAI. In most cases, such establishments need to get FSSAI central license.
